New York

This past weekend the girls took a trip to New York City!! (we missed you dearly Andrea) How dreamy to be in such a fabulous city with a group of delightful girls. We did many fun things: Soho, yummy restaurants, some went to museums and broadway plays, vintage shopping, and just wandering around. We also ran into Keri Russell and followed her around for about 30 minutes. Anyways, it was such a fun trip!! We have decided to make it a yearly event. Thanks to Pat and Maddie for planning this and thanks for the fun weekend everyone!!*** Matthew, I missed you dearly also!!! :)

As Of Late....
Life has been pretty crazy!! Matt and I take full advantage of weekends this semester since we are so busy during the week and hardly ever speak let alone do anything fun. Here are some things that we've done the last couple weekends...
Multiling Company Party...Maddie won Miss Congeniality. She's super cool. :)

Last weekend we made bombs. (ya) Matt has never been so hyper/giddy ever since I've known him. We went to an old mine about 20 minutes south of Provo that is over 700 yards deep. There is a big crate over the hole that you can stand on and directly look down into the darkness. Crazy!! Matt and his friends filled several bottles with gasoline, started them on fire and we'd all watch them go down down down. It was actually quite cool and amazing watching it drop for like 5 minutes. Ok..exaggeration. But it did drop forever. (yes, we're old enough to be married)
We are very grateful for the opportunity we have had to live at Granny's house. It really helped us get started and we've made many great memories in this house. However, we decided that we were ready to buy furniture, pay utility bills, have something really small, and try it on our own! Crazy!?! I don't know yet...but I couldn't be more excited for the new place!! We signed the papers on Monday and literally, no exaggeration here, I haven't gotten a good nights sleep since. I'm kept awake thinking of what I'm going to do with the small space we have. How I'm going to hang our pictures, where we are going to sit (thanks to Dru, we are new owners of really cute couches), and how we are going to make it uniquely ours. See pictures of the complex here...

Don't mind the rent prices. We got a great deal and of course aren't paying that much. Oh ya...did I mention it has a pool, hot tub, and work out room?? Wahoo!! More pictures to come.

Be My Valentine
Matt and I had a delightful valentine's day. He offered to be in charge of planning the whole day. I definitely didn't complain...We also decided that we wouldn't do any cleaning, homework, laundry, or any other normal Saturday activities. It was so fun to just hang out all day!! I have a horrible semester (I'm taking anatomy along with 4 other classes and I'm hating every minute of it) so to just relax and have an excuse to be lazy was such a treat.

Last Saturday...
Last Saturday was big at the Lloyd house. Pat, Maddie, Chelsea, and I went to see the Cedar Lake Dance Company.
It was seriously life changing. At first I didn't know how I felt about it but as the performance went on I loved it more and more. Another highlight of the performance is afterword we ran into...
It was seriously life changing. At first I didn't know how I felt about it but as the performance went on I loved it more and more. Another highlight of the performance is afterword we ran into...Matt from So You Think You Can Dance. As you all know I'm super shy. The second I saw him I wanted to go ask him for a picture but was way too embarrassed. We all discussed it and decided he would be super nice because he's not that famous, and he didn't make it that far. So we walk over (I have butterflies in my stomach) and Maddie asks him if we can take a picture with him and he was actually so cocky!! Gross!! He just acted like it happened to him all the time....please. Even if it does, don't be a jerk about it....
Even after this embarrassing moment we recovered and it was still a very fun evening!!
I know it seems like we leave our husbands all the time but Matt was very happy because he got this...
A new Gun. He was more then happy to spend the day shooting with his friends while I was gone. (Sorry if you are against hunting...he just wanted to show off the jack rabbit he killed. And don't worry, it's legal) Matt hasn't put the gun down since he bought it and I really can't remember us talking about anything besides his gun this whole week. He keeps trying to convince me that he bought it for protection for our house and not just for a toy...ya right, I'm not that stupid.
Hope all is well with everyone and Happy Valentines Day!!

Sundance Film Festival
This Saturday we were lucky enough to go see a movie at the Sundance Film Festival!! I've never been more excited/star struck then I was at this moment. (Except for when my family walked into a restaurant in LA where we ran into Simon, Randy, and Ryan Seacrest from American Idol) We saw 500 Days of Summer. It is a phenomenal romantic comedy starring Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. I recommend that everyone goes and sees it when it comes to theaters this July.

This is what I mean by star-struck. Jospeh Gordon-Levitt was in the audience with us. (He can also be seen in 10 Things I Hate About You, 3rd Rock From the Sun, and Brick) After the movie was over he stood up at this fun guitar podiom and allowed people from the audience to ask him whatever questions they had about the film. He was a very down to earth, cute man. We later saw him on Main Street and even ate at the same restaurant as he did. (some people might call it stocking, I just call it good luck) It was such a fun experience to go see a movie at the festival and I suggest everyone do it next year. It's a $15 dollars well spent!!
P.S. Matt was unable to attend because of lack of tickets. You are all welcome to join us on opening night of the movie in July when I make him come watch it with me in the theaters.
P.P.S. I HATE the snow. As you all know I'm such a worrier and I'm so excited to be able to stop having fears that someone in my family is going to die a sudden death in a car accident because of icy roads.
